Klondike at Smithville Lake, Missouri

1.) The troop will meet at Liberty United Methodist Church on Friday, January 21st, at 6:00 PM. 

2.) Directions to Smithville Lake are as follows:
a.) Travel North on Hiway 291 to A Hiway (first right after I-35). Turn right (North), travel 7 miles on Hiway A to Hiway 92. 
b.) At the junction of Hiway 92, turn left (West).
c.) Travel 1.8 miles to Hiway E and turn right (North). Follow that road 2.9 miles to the Camp Branch sign (Collins Road) and turn right.
d.) Travel 2.5 miles to the entrance to the Kelsey Short Camp area, on your right. You will be directed to the parking area. 

3.) The Troop will return to the Church about Noon on Sunday, January 22nd.

4.) We will be doing patrol cooking for all meals. A quick lunch on Saturday of instant soup, instant hot chocolate and hot dogs is required for all Scouts. 

5.) A registration fee of $4.50 is required for all Scouts and adults. We are required to register all participants on Friday evening. If you plan to attend but are not arriving until Saturday morning, we must have your fee by Friday evening at the Church. (Checks only, please).

6.) Philmont 2006 Participants will be doing a practice hike after Klondike activities on Saturday. The hike will be a 7 mile hike at Smithville Lake. If you are going to Philmont this year this practice hike is highly recommended.
