thank you to Mr. Hamilton for taking photos

Scouts who forget to wear their gloves get blue hands.
They keep their smiles, however.

Weather could not have been more perfect for a ski camp. After weeks of above average temperatures and no snow on the mountain at Snow Creek, temperatures dropped to 20 degrees allowing the ski resort to make 48 inches of snow before we arrived. A number of scouts were skiing for the first time and they found a new love.

After arrival in camp on Saturday morning, boys quickly set up tents and headed for the slopes.  The skied for almost 12 hours with a brief interruption of goulash prepared by the leaders. After boys finished their meal, the rest of the skiers on the slope were fed. Cruz's famous Apple Crisp Fruit Cocktail Cobbler was waiting for the scouts when they returned to camp.

Temperatures fell into the teens in the early morning hours on Sunday and scouts cooked themselves hot breakfasts with breaks around the camp fire. Scouts arrived back at the church in time to participate in Scout Sunday services with scouts serving as greeters, ushers and acolytes.
