Watkins Mill Dec 2-3, 2006 Scouts and scouters enjoyed a trip to Watkins Woolen Mill State Park. Scouts hiked 5 miles to the Mill and Visitor's Center and enjoyed meeting with Father Christmas in the Watkins Home and had hot cider in the summer kitchen. We had a high temperature of 34 degrees and a low of 14 degrees with winds up to 24 mph. All in all, it was relatively comfortable and dry. We were a bit too far to enjoy the fire works at the Christmas festival. Aaron Stasiak, Erich Hartmann and Patrol won the golden skillet award for the best dessert. They enjoyed Peach Cobbler that surpassed the leader's pineapple upside down cake. Recipes for the adult meals
