:
All requirements for each rank should be signed off in the
scout's handbook. If there are any questions, the scout needs to ask the
first year coordinator (Mr. Henderson). He then needs to schedule a
scoutmaster’s conference with Mr. Hartmann. After Mr. Hartmann records
the successful completion of the scoutmaster conference in the scout’s
handbook, he then needs to ask the advancement chairman, Mrs. Salmon for a
board of review. It is then the scout’s responsibility to present Mrs.
Salmon his signed handbook that he has successfully completed the board of
review so that it can be properly recorded in the troop records (Troopmaster).
1) Schedule a scoutmaster’s conference with Mr. Hartmann
2) Ask the advancement chairman, Mrs. Salmon, for a board of
review.
3) Present signed handbook to Mrs. Salmon to be recorded in
the troop records.
Advancement procedures for Star and Life:
In order for the scout to complete the requirements for the rank of star
and life, he must have completed all merit badges, service hours, and
positions for the rank. He needs to be sure he has turned in his completed
merit badge cards to the advancement chairman. Please check with the
advancement chairman to be sure the troop has everything recorded in the
troop records and the scout is indeed ready for advancement.
After these qualifications are met and the advancement chairman agrees
that the troop records show the scout is ready for the next rank, he needs
to ask the scoutmaster for a scoutmaster's conference. When that is
complete then he needs to ask the advancement chairman to schedule a board
of review.
Again, it is then the scout’s responsibility to present
Mrs. Salmon his signed handbook that he has successfully completed the
board of review so that it can be properly recorded in the troop records (Troopmaster).
Eagle Scout Rank:
The qualifications for Eagle Scout are more and different
than these and the scout should be given a life to eagle CD to work on
this. The scout must complete the requirements prior to his 18th birthday.
If you have any questions, e-mail or call the advancement chairman,
