Scouts working on the Chemistry Merit Badge at William Jewell. A few 376 Scouts have gone through this program.

In addition to being a Camp Director at Camp Sawmill, H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation, Marvin was an Assistant Scoutmaster for two National Jamboree Troops, a High Adventure Leader for Sommer's Canoe Base and Okpik Winter Camping in Ely, Minnesota.

Marvin was active in the Nature Lodge. Now it is much larger and is known as the Kansas City Zoo. He was a docent for the Zoo. Here he was showing visitors the hissing cockroach. It is in his hand.

Many a chem magic show was given for Scouts.
