Winter High Adventure 2009- February 12 to 16, Keystone Co.

We are planning the annual ski trip for scouts 14 and older who have attained the rank of Life or Eagle.  Right now I am making reservations for the trip. It looks like the trip will run about $500 plus equipment for 3 days of skiing (2 at Keystone, Breckenridge or A-Basin and 1 day at Vail). I have a 4 bedroom condo scoped out in Keystone within walking distance to 4 different lifts, and for the adults, a Starbucks downstairs! If you want to join in the fun, please get a $100 deposit to Mr. Bland ASAP. I have to pay for 50% of the condo when I book it. BTW…Equipment rental will run between ($50 (skis) and $100 (snowboard)

Fellow Scouters, and Scout Parents,

It's time once again to spend a weekend getting better acquainted with some of the other adults in the troop and at the same help to raise money to fund the troop. We will be operating a concession stand and beverage carts at Kansas Speedway Friday September 26, Saturday September 27 and Sunday September 29. (Fri. - O’Reily Auto Parts Qualifying Day, Sat. – NASCAR Nationwide Series, Sun. – NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.)

I will have signup sheets at the next troop meeting. Or you can email me, or call. I will need your driver’s license number and date of birth to get your credentials to get into the track.

Our efforts in this endeavor provide all of funds for the Troop budget. This allows 100% of the proceeds for your son’s work on popcorn sales and pancake breakfast to go to his Scout Account. Troop budget, as an example of where this money goes we spend more then $3,000.00 a year on badges, beads, pins, and patches. There is also propane, tents, tent parts, Dutch ovens, trailer maintenance, and equipment storage.

Merit Badge College Registration Form

Registration and payment for William Jewell Merit Badge College MUST be turned in by the July 28, 2008 meeting. Details regarding submitting your registration and the event are as follows:

When? Saturday, November 22, 2008. All participants should arrive by 7:40 in order to complete registration on a timely basis. The event will end by 4:00 pm.

Where? Classrooms located at the William Jewell campus. Registration and the opening ceremony will be at Gano Chapel.
