Six adult leaders took a 2.5 day retreat to Colorado to raft the toughest stretches of the Arkansas River. They rafted stretches of
Class IV and V known as Maytag, 3 Forks, Lose Your Lunch, Wake-Up, 3 Rocks, Spike Buck, Double Dip, Sharks Tooth, Sunshine Falls, Sledgehammer, The Narrows, Wall Slammer, Boat Eater and Corner Pocket, Canyon Door, Pinball, Zoom Flume, Big Drop, Staircase, Toilet Bowl, Widowmaker, Raft Ripper, Siedel's Suckhole, and Twin Falls.

The Royal Gorge Bridge, completed in 1929, is the world’s highest suspension bridge. It spans the raging Arkansas River at a height of 1,053 feet.
The Royal Gorge is considered the "Grand Canyon of the Rockies"
