KLONDIKE
January 21-23, 2005

36  scouts and 16 scouters braved bitter temperatures to attend Klondike this weekend. Temperatures reached single digits with wind chills well below zero. Troop leadership weighed the scout enjoyment index against the wind chill index and made the decision to return home early on Saturday.

This campout will serve as a lesson of proper cold weather preparation. Let's hope the lesson doesn't need repeating again too soon.
