November 9-10, 2002

Tune in same time, same station, next week to find out...
Will they EVER get the pyramid built
If they do, it will be one of the great wonders of the world

The Webelos of Pack 376 joined the Troop for a successful camp in Lawton, Missouri. We shot off rockets of all sizes and shapes. The high winds made it a challenge to recover our rockets. Mr. Yameen's three stage rocket traveled approximately three quarters of a mile. Soon-to-be Eagle scout Chris S had two Star Wars rockets which were much admired. Trees ate a couple of the Webelos rockets causing momentary depression but good food prepared by the Boy Scouts offset lost rockets. The Scouts showed great leadership in unloading the trailer, setting up the two dining flies, their Patrol areas and feeding the Webelos. The campfire was impressive, even if the skits weren't :-) The flag retirement ceremonies and church services were well done by our junior leaders with  emotional impact on those in attendance. First year Scouts completed some of their First Class requirements between football games. Mr. Corbett brought his HUGE telescope and Scouts and Scouters were able to see the rings around Saturn with incredible clarity. While searching the sky, we were treated by two shooting stars. They are so much more impressive when viewed with a group of friends.
