Our Scoutmaster, Jeff Goertz, was honored by the entire North Star District with the H. Virgil Bower Scoutmaster award at the District Recognition Dinner. This prestigious award has been given only six times. Bill Glenn, longtime 376 Scoutmaster, was given the first award posthumously in 1998. For Jeff Goertz to receive this award in 2003 reflects the respect with which he is held by scouters throughout the district. It's not easy to give the same Troop their second of only six district Scoutmaster awards. Jeff's achievements, expertise and time commitment within the Troop and the community made it impossible for them to do otherwise.
