Spanish Rice
1 lb. Ground beef
3 T bacon drippings
1 medium onion, sliced
1/4 c catsup
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 c water
6 slices bacon, fried crisp
1 t salt
1 16 oz. can whole tomatoes
1/2 black pepper
2-1/2 c Minute Rice
In Dutch oven brown beef and cook onion in bacon drippings until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer until liquid is absorbed. Stir to prevent burning. Serves 6-8.
